Rylstone Manor was originally built as a gentleman’s residence in 1863 and remained a private residence until 1923. The Manor is of Victorian proportion and incorporates a blend of Gothic, Tudor and Georgian influences which reflects its unique charms both externally and within.

Rylstone gardens are situated on the cliff top overlooking the Shanklin, Sandown bay and are just a short walk from the beach front, Shanklin Chine and the Old Village with its thatched shops and cottages.

Shanklin Town is within a twenty minute walk of the Hotel and offers a good mix of shops and services. Buses to all parts of the Island can be caught from the center of the Town, and a train service is also offered to Lake, Sandown, Brading and Ryde.

The Manor offers Private parking for residents and is a good base for those wishing to explore the Island by car.

The Cliff Hall Hotel is a traditional family run hotel. Built in 1854 and containing many Victorian features (originally built for an Admiral) this historic property boasts the most spectacular views of the South Coast of the Island. The position is perfect for Shanklin Old and New towns and overlooks Shanklin esplanade and the beach. Shanklin Old and new towns also offer a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Being situated on the edge of the famous cliff path it also is ideally situated for a leisurely stroll or a full cliff walk for the more enthusiastic.

The famous Shanklin Chine is in Shanklin Old Village, a 10 min walk. The hotel offers an excellent central location to all the great Isle of Wight attractions. With 2 car parks, it has ample car parking facilities. However, the local bus stops are within easy walking distance.

Exclusive to residents is the secluded heated swimming pool and games room, offering table tennis, T.V. and a full size snooker table (somewhere for the older kids to get away from their parents!!!!)  Also in the bar we have a bar billiards table and games cupboard.
