Attractions for the family

Needles Park can be found along the heritage coastline near Totland. A chairlift from the clifftops to the beach offers spectacular views of the Isle of Wight’s famous Needles Rocks and lighthouse. Various rides are available to entertain the kids whilst you take advantage of the hospitality facilities. Finish the day by watching sweet makers and glassblowers practice their trade.

Families can pay a visit to the Blackgang Chine at Ventnor which boasts 40 acres of Victorian clifftop Gardens and themed areas such as Dinosaurland and Cowboy Town. The park is a fun filled day out for the whole family. Go to the summer arcade in Shanklin for bowling, go karting and adventure golf.

On a rainy day, drop into the Fort Victoria Marine Aquarium where you can see a fascinating array of local marine life, along side variety of tropical specimens. Just off Godshill high street, there is famous model village from the 50s, a great spot for a family stop off.

Colemans Farm near Newport has exciting, action-packed activities for the whole family including tractor driving, a petting farm and play barns.

Geology lovers and budding palaeontologists will want to stop off at Dinosaur Isle, with its museum of fascinating fossils.
